I agree we need to get a fix on FY99 earnings (which is 3/4 CY98). All I'm saying is current estimates -adjusted for current # shares are $3.64. It would be hard to imagine 4/98-3/99 dropping to $1.00 share even with this turn of events. I'd be happy to see it end today around $20 or above and this may happen IMHO after the shellshock is over. Or we may see the start of another freefall. I never try to pick short-term events -- that's where I lose money. But as we move into Jan/Feb/March I believe we are looking at current year earnings of about $3.00 and a corresponding "fair" multiple. I'll be interested to catch up on what the CC said before passing any near-term judgement on what's now happening.
