In the early 1900's the workers had to fight the plutocrats like hell to establish unions to get fair pay and safe working conditions. Business wanted to pay slave wages, put workers in unsafe working conditions and workers were treated like dogs.

Unions changed that.

Oh, well isn't that something.

I thought Henry Ford changed that. Remember, the union hater Henry Ford. And how he just voluntarily gave those big raises to $5/day because he wanted to do the right thing by his employees? He wasn't being selfish. He thought he could make money by paying his employees enough that they could buy cars. You know, like Churchill's standing in a bucket while lifting oneself up by the handle?

So, which is it? Did Henry Ford's altruistic view of business help employees? Or did the unions, which Ford hated?

You people want to have it both ways.

"businesses taking advantage of workers" . . . . "back to slavery"

You are just regurgitating the talking points of the Progressives.

I have dealt with businesses for decades now and have never seen "slavery" or "downtrodden workers".
Everyone always wants to make more money, but there needs to be a happy medium.
For instance, are you willing to pay a lot more for your burgers and fries so that workers there can make a lot more money ??
How will you feel if they get a huge raise but you don't ??
It just doesn't make sense to double their salary and no one else's.

Dems Obamacare is designed to allow employers to dump their employees into government administered exchanges. Dems amnesty and open borders policies are designed to keep labor costs cheap. Democrats are enemies of American workers.

Slavery today is being dependent on government in the form of welfare. In return, blacks are only allowed to vote for continued enslavement, sub-standard education, segregation and complete lack of opportunity. YOU are the new slave owner - the hardcore racist, DEMONcrat...
