Terry, Few have picked up on the fact that Murdoch (News Corp) uniquely reaches 75% of the world's TVs and that Rupert selected Zenith to provide his STBs for Sky Latin America.

It's not inconceivable to project that Murdoch will introduce HDTV to much of the world via his Sky satellite companies accompanied with Zenith's STBs and HDTV sets. Can't figure, however, why he threw his inventory of US satellite interests into the TCI/Time Warner camp other than the very real possibility that Time Warner (HBO and the Turner Group) share the same HDTV global vision.

Murdoch has more vision regarding consumer media demand that anyone on the planet. Ted is a close title contender. Rupert invisions a global village where we'll all be watching Seinfield reruns (shot in HDTV), first run movies and mega sports events via his satellites and channels. As a visionary, he is well aware that only HDTV offers the "killer app" differentiator. If Rupert isn't one of the potentially best of the "best of breed" partners for Zenith, I'm very, very mistaken.

ps. Don't sweat the short-term, market antics. It's ZE's fundamentals which will deliver Zenith's (and LGE's) day in the sun....
