They are down to their lowest viewership ever today. Very lucky that their parent company Comcast keeps them on the air...

With 133K total viewers in total day, CNBC had its lowest quarter since Q2 2005. It was a 19% drop from last year when the network had 164K total viewers in total day.

CNBC reaches the primo demographics in the investing world so their advertisers make a ton of money off of very low viewership.

And if CNBC folded tomorrow they would all just switch to Bloomberg TV and not miss a beat.

That's the world today, stiff competition for a limited valuable target audience. Everyone has to hustle to keep up.

Well maybe not everyone......
