so they are obviously paying the amount required to get the people they need Plantation owners paid what they had to to get the slaves they needed.... There are millions of unemployed unskilled, under educated applicants for any entry level job that opens......as I have said many times, "management is very flexible, they are always willing to pay less".... Another example.....my grandson, a comp sci major, had served two summer internships with Microsoft and will with them again this coming summer.. You wouldn't believe what MS is paying those kids in salary and perks. Why? Because they need them.... On the other hand millions of med students, law students, and students of all types are working as interns for exactly nothing in law offices, doctors offices, radio and TV stations, advertising , etc etc...
