However, there are still yellow-dog Democrats who, even knowing just how stupid he is, continue to support him. With something in the area of half of the voting public understanding he's an idiot, the comparisons with monkeys seems reasonable and does not suggest any racist intent, whatsoever. The real racists are those who jump to the conclusion that racism is behind any criticism of him. Just because he is black does not mean he is exempt from criticism.
