Or does that not apply to investments?<< One does not take any positions in an unstable market -- trading or investment--and IMO the market is not unstable, though some sectors are. When trading I always try and trade with the trend -- when investing one can take a position against the trend as long as the market/sector is stable--and it does not have to happen all in one go.
