Hey John... this restaurant sure isn't just a fad, wait til we see the next quarterly report and the next one to follow that! Yes, even I picked up a nice Rainforest Cafe T shirt and a CD when I visited the ones on our trip last year and I would imagine a lot of folks do the same. Of course if you are a stockholder, you have to get a few more every time you go on a field trip to check out how the company is doing...

We plan to move up to our new home in Cottonwood, AZ next Oct. and will be up there for about 3 months to get established, but will return for about 3 weeks in Jan. 1999 to take care of a few last minute things here before my mandatory retirement date (Jan. 31st). If you are a "gringo" you are only allowed to work for the Panama Canal until age 62! Talk about age discrimination! And I am a federal employee to boot!! Anyway, I have accepted the fact and it is time to move on and get back to the States, but we will always keep many great memories of this place, and will return for visits from time to time as our retirement life style permits. Best regards, Mel
