At this point the option is not to turn it over to the Republicans. If something were to happen to Obama, such as impeachment, then gaffemaster Biden would be in office. We would go from a devious socialist alinsyite to and idiot in office. Even if Republicans gain control of the Senate and retain control of the House this year there are enough liberal Republicans and not enough moderate democrats that Obama will be able to continue to do whatever he wants.
