The oil sands drive the economy of an entire province and create good paying jobs for hundreds of thousands of families to raise their children with. Whatever tax breaks and concessions may have been given to companies up there in the past have paid back huge. What comes back from the billions of dollars thrown away on some bullshit welfare and land claims settlements for aboriginals. I will tell you F ALL!!! The only work they get is the jobs that companies are forced to give them as part of the "aboriginal rights" to develop CANADIAN resources. Companies are forced to employ unskilled and unreliable workers just to appease the local band. Your statement leads me to believe one of two things . 1. You are native 2. You are one of those anti oil tree huggers that leaves his wood frame house everyday and drives his gas burning car to work or to the liquor store depending on how much 1 is in you.
