Bill, you're making fun, but I've actually seen people say that
the Fed is afraid to raise interest rates because of Asia and that this is good news. If the Fed "wants to raise rates" it's because they think inflation is coming. If they "can't", that means they have to let the inflation come because something even worse is around the corner.

Doesn't anyone remember the Misery Index? By some indices, the US was in better shape in the 70's than today. The National debt was much smaller, yearly deficits were small, we were the worlds largest creditor rather than the worlds largest debtor, growth was at 5%... Yet inflation and unemployment went up at the same time.

The fact that Japan was undercutting our technology business with low prices didn't stop inflation, either.

Could not agree more, Bill!!!
However, I am fed up,up,up with all these Alice in Wonderland investors who seem to have been born with a silver spoon in their mouths and act like it is their constitutional right to be rich and not have a worry. They are the "not in my backyard crowd". I.E. stocks can correct, but don't touch mine...etc.
