The Smartglass International site that you linked to describes SPD glass as electrochromic glass, thus:

"SPD-SmartGlass is an electrochromic glass that can be manually or automatically “tuned".......

It's hard to understand why a company in the smart glass industry would use terminology like that for an SPD product. It's either incompetence, or total ignorance.

It's hard enough for the average Joe in the street to understand technology in the first place. It should be incumbent on anybody in the business to use terminology accurately.

I'm pretty sure you have linked to this site before. It may not help the REFR cause to publicize a company website that is that careless even if it does create interest in the concept.
