Fewer scientists, for example, are reportedly identifying with the GOP, and the overall trend is for fewer Americans to call themselves Republicans. But both Gallup and separate polling from Pew found approximately the same party ID in 2009 and 2013."

Hard to pin down why Republicans are abandoning Science more and more for the comfort of superstitious belief? Scientists remain consistently in favor of explaining issues through Reason and Science, so the idea that they will continue to eschew the Republicans seems to make sense...

Why Has Republican Belief in Evolution Declined So Much?
There is only one answer to that and it is the superior education system in the USA...
