Tony: I 'kinda' doubt it as pretty much everybody knew the PC
component prices were going down big time.So I don't think this not going to be a big surprise. If anything this is should be good news for Pc makers and intel in particular as you have pointed out unit shipments have gone up indicating strong demand for their product, meaning PC sales are healthy.Too bad though for the HD makers. Having said that I have to admit that I have been know to be wrong more often than not.So there, that is my 2 nickels worth (inflation you know).

Tony, QNTM-Markets

On again this morning, yes it looks like the markets will be down again. Asia/Europe way down, futures especially Nasdaq way off.

You have to start wondering how low the techs can go. Even with reduced expectations, the Intel's, Compaq's, Cisco's, others still have growth well above their PE ratios. At some point the value folks will take over from the momentum players and the sentiment will change to the sector being undervalued and the safest place to park money.

Intel 27%+ off it's high.
