Linda:

I've been watching VVUS since the Prodigy days when I received an e-mail from a woman who, with her husband had sunk a good portion of their retirement savings into the stock. At that time, I think the stock had climbed to the 70's or 80's (before the split). She was in Florida and said that the doctors in that area were very excited about the success of Muse. Hopefully, she and her husband salvaged something.

As for shorting stocks, I don't short any stocks for one basic reason...In the past, everytime I bought options, either short or long, I lost. I do not like time frames and expiration dates and although it gets very tempting sometimes, I force myself to stay away from options. I do trade in and out in my IRA account and that satisfies my urges.

Looking back, I have been in GENZL and CHIR. I watch VVUS, JMED and LIPO, probably more to stay aware of reality but there may be opportunities in these at some point.

I'll talk at you later.

Chip

PS. I'm afraid today will be another tough day in the market. Hong Kong and Japan markets got killed again last night. Hold on!
