This suggestion, that GWB saw it as a "first choice", is a liberal lie.

He properly recognized that you could not have freedom in that region with Saddam in power, and properly realized that Saddam would be easy to take out, which he was. He did not expect the insurgency, which he should have, but that's war.

The Freedom Agenda was the correct approach. But there is simply no way that Bush or anyone else could have forecasted the election of an absolute incompetent as the American president to follow himself, and the ensuing abandonment of the principles he had established.

Barack Obama was elected by idiots. And reelected by far bigger idiots. No rational person could have anticipated that Americans were that stupid. Now, we know. Most of you don't have the sense to get in out of the rain.
