Any thoughts on the Unisys buyout rumor? UIS businesses would give Compaq another area in which to branch.

I hope, I pray they are not doing it. They Have already swallowed enough to do digesting for awhile. The more branches they get, the smaller P/E street gives them. I think part of the stock price problem comes from their 50B goal. Company of that size very rear get awarded with high P/E. They have to have a killer product and monopoly (or close to) in the market, Like MSFT, Coke, Gillette.
I think CPQ is already looked at as if it is one of the behemoths like HWP, IBM. It doesn't matter for the street how different CPQ is from both.
