I really don't understand how upset some people are about the changes made by the new SI management. No user wants ads, but they aren't really all that awful - most websites have them, and now SI does as well. I'm a longtime SI member, but I've never paid them a dime, and they have given me this website AND two free t-shirts. I don't think most of us have any right to be such over the top bitches about things which we don't pay for. Some of the people whining and whining and whining on the SI administration boards are just being big babies if you ask me.

OK, I'll have cornerofberkshireandfairfax in mind and might even look more at it when I have time. Thanks. I have a Fool and GuruFocus accounts, but I have not used Fool account in years and have not used GuruFocus account for forums at all. I use GuruFocus account for their 10 year financial data, since they nag you to log in if you try access it without account. My preference would be a site where you can have a general thread like this one and you are not forced to post on company-specific threads. It's likely most sites kinda support this, but some might be more geared towards this style.
