This is what happens when idiots who don't understand arithmetic (that would be YOU) try to repeat what they think they read when they apparently didn't read at all. The 2013 Trustees report reflected a 25% cut to Medicare providers that will have have to be paid. But Congress has conveniently structured it so that it isn't taken into account in projections. So, sure, if you just arbitrarily cut payments to providers you can get something that is covered by the tax rate that is being paid in. It isn't going to be "health care" in the sense of what we've had the in the past. I am advising many of my customers to consider dropping Medicare patients since they lose money on every patient visit. While they're not all doing it immediately, they will, eventually, or at least transition them to seeing nurses instead of MDs.
