I have no problem with using science to craft public policy. We've been doing it here since Lincoln. It's why we split the atom that bombed Japan, why we beat the Russians and Chinese to the moon, and why Magic Johnson is still alive 20 years after becoming HIV pos. I have a big problem with the politics of saying "science is wrong".
