Next week temperatures thruout freeze area 10 to 25 degrees above normal...after very, very unusual polar vortex size drop to USA. Unusual suggests that they have happened in the past. Just not frequently. Lots of things happen infrequently that are not necessarily anomalies. But those headlines....they sure do make it dramatic. 'Polar Vortex' freezes US like never before in history Except, it looks like the last one was only 20 years ago......I guess that's like "never before".
