Haha! Sounds very unappetizing, so I really hope we rally :D

That support line is quite amazing! I need to try and plot it myself.

Nice chart, GZ. Thank you for sharing! Energy is proportional to velocity squared, which is (distance/time) squared. So simplistically, maybe it's an "energy" view.

This question may show my youth, but would the same work for gold? Also, why does the price axis show 1850-ish instead of 1850-squared = 3.24*10e+6?

GZ.. just some fodder. CES opened today and generally the market rallies. I wouldn't put too much into todays action as you consider that chart.

I'd be considering why the companies are not hiring, when will they and how they will expand market share going forward. For those not familiar one can tour the C.E.S virtual. I'm having issues with processing so I'll stay away to avoid bouncing off others.

Now If Csco was warning and they did, and I know many a large scale project has been mothballed and there's an impact to development in emerging countries and infrastructure in areas beyond the USA where many of the large caps get their revs. Then one should pay attention to what's being reported. NOT if the earnings are beaten.Heck many have lowered them to beat expectations.. What are they saying re future earnings, expansion etc.

Also since I have some ties to those who are in position to see who's building and who's not. There are many a project still on hold in the USA and there will not be any quick start. I wouldn't expect to see the trickle down to earnings any time soon nor expansion in hiring to help with needed tax revs. At some point I'll be expecting to hear of certain trade unions having to cut health care due to not meeting the quota for hours needed by membership. On an aside my cutter told me her company dropped her insurance for she wasn't working enough hours. That's just the tip of the ACA issue. More and more hospitals are now informing those who used to have insurance coverage with them ..sorry yes you have coverage via ACA but we are not accepting such and then there are the doctors themselves. . Charts don't see those details yet.

Now that doesn't mean they can't push equities higher. It just says to me as it did back when they did with VRTS years ago i.e 2000 ish. I'm selling at the highs the up was not sustainable. DITTO AMAT Both were wise decisions.

IF I was a long with core and I AM I'd be looking at my core holdings and asking where will they get the revs, how will they sustain the earnings and what will the margins be as well as turns in inventory etc.

While here I read an article on SEEKING ALPHA re DRYS. The author is WRONG re where the BDI recently finished. Now I could ignore that detail but it does make a difference to those who plot numbers.

The author is also not familiar with Cardiff and the importance of OCNF to DRYS. Not that the author put up a bad article for he didn't. Yet by not understanding the details he limits his view for the UPSIDE and I have DRYS into the teens before the end of 2015. With it at just near 4 that's a decent % up from the 6.5 he suggests he will sell..

Finally, keep doing your thing. It's appreciated!
