The market did not like it when SD bought the asset and now the market does not like the sale. : )
I like the refocus on the Mississippi Lime acreage even if they over paid for the Gulf assets.
If SD can stay focused for a few years and the price of oil does not drop significantly then there might be some good value in the company.
Still a lot of risk but I have recently started a position in SD after having been watching for a while.
Another company I follow over paid for an asset a few years ago. I wish they would sell it and reinvest in higher return projects. I would expect SD to have calculated the same way. If not then SD is under more cash flow pressure than they are letting on.
