And we got what for that "investment"? Don't tell me that it took down the Soviet Empire because that is absolute BS. Carter ruining the 1980 Soviet Olympics helped but the Soviet military going into Afghanistan had much more to do with it and anyone who visited the Soviet Union as I did in 1984 had to be blind not to know the system was falling apart. OK, I wore glasses but my vision was 20-20 with them on and I kept them on. We blew over two decades of research and government support of "photovoltaics", a major mistake of America's and the world's 20th Century. Now we have guys such as you and Jorj who should and do know better fighting what should be done using phoney libertarian, brown shirt, let the private sector do it (which has proven as you so clearly noted, won't) arguments while we tear up North Dakota and burn it and frack the hell out of Pa and other parts of the USA and soon Africa and burn it too.
