If my objective was purely to win the contest, I might well have entered a low-beta portfolio that would very likely have outperformed the rest of the pack in a down market. But I think that's not quite in the spirit of the contest.

I do have one "earnings story" (LGND) in my entry. But the rest (except for maybe Ablynx) will likely get washed out to sea if the market turns.

ABBV is big and is in two contest portfolios. (I picked it last year, but not this year.)
