I could be wrong, but it sounds to me like you are confusing the "soft tissue aspirator" sold by Misonix to Lysonix for use in liposuction with the "ultrasonic scalpel" jointly designed by Misonix (Generator and probes) and USS (handpiece) and sold by Misonix to USS who resells the complete unit as their AutoSonix ultrasonic scalpel. These are two completely different products. I don't believe Valleylab's ultrasonic products compete directly with the new USS ultrasonic scalpel.

BTW, I believe the Autosonix scalpel will have thinner probes and cut better and faster than the competing Ethicon (Ultracision) product. If you have/do use an ultrasonic scalpel, it was most probably the Ethicon device. Would love to hear your views on ultrasonic scalpels in general, the Ethicon device in particular, and anything you might be hearing about the new USS Autosonix ultrasonic scalpel.
