The first actually happened, the second is your opinion.

Christie's "assistant" causes a traffic jam -- Major news story.

President Obama personally wrecks the United States health care system -- meh.

Interestingly enough.........one's ideological perspective colors how one sees both issues. The first one is very real.........the second is winger whimsy.

In the mean time, why Rs think they can get away with shit never ceases to astound me.

Inode,
Christie's "assistant" causes a traffic jam -- Major news story.
Potholes aren't partisan, and neither are traffic jams. The notion that even traffic could be the result of some political vendetta should be disconcerting to anyone who's had to deal with it, which is like 90% of America.

I've driven to and from Fort Lee several times, and every single time it has been a traffic nightmare. That's par for the course when it comes to driving in the NY/NJ area.

However, I don't think I've driven along that path during the time when Christie (or his aide, or whoever) shut down some of its lanes. I can imagine, however, that this would snarl up traffic across literally many square miles of the region. It wouldn't just be Fort Lee that is affected, but also northern Manhattan, the Bronx, Englewood, Cliffside Park, Palisades Park, etc.

Therefore, if this was done just to piss off the mayor of Fort Lee, it would seem extremely petty and would have much further implications than just a personal vendetta.
