This whole new year start has been mostly scarey and into next weeks options expiration.

IF we get a good employment number and why should we not with housing working better it would have cleared the slate for options expiration (read that the boys have bought back enough stock to accommodate a launch which would give the call buyers the opportunity to buy stock.

Stocks like csco have had a nice run up and today dipped below 22 - which gave the MM an opportunity to buy in some stock that might get sold at 22.00 and change at a profit.

There is open interest of 158025 calls and 69383 puts at a strike price of 22.So far 22 million shares have traded in csco .

The dip below 22 was not long lived today, but it may have been enough to cover the difference if we launch up tomorrow.

These last days of dips have provided the opportunity for the MM to get their inventory in below the strike prices on many stocks.

We'll know tomorrow soon enough.

Another weird stock action was at& t = T .They announced an increase in the qtrly dividend from 45 cents to 46 cents and it has gapped down the last 2 days to past support at 33.60.

Tell me there aren't dividend growth mutual funds not buying at a past support level with an increased dividend?

Bob
