I'm sorry, but if a government bureaucrat doing what government bureaucrats do is supposed to impress someone, I've got bad news for you. When we have seen one horrible government failure after another, I'm not sure why anyone would consider it a major accomplishment. Some fool wrote the City of New Orleans evacuation plan. Nowhere did they address what to do after the busses are submerged. Really, writing these kinds of rinky-dink reports that have no accountability other than to take up space just doesn't seem like a major accomplishment to me. I did useless shit like that too -- tax opinions, tax returns, financial reports and projections, all useless garbage. Most of the software I wrote over the years is long gone, except for a few items and the newest stuff I'm working on. None of it amounts to a hill of beans.

"What are we, just the stupid ones who can't figure it out?" What we are, is a country that has a major political party that represents the selfish wealthy, who can afford health insurance, and don't want to pay a dime tor provide it to anyone else. The same party manages to con millions of non-wealthy Republicans to vote their way, mainly by fear-mongering them, but also by throwing them social issue bones they don't care one way or another about. Many of the poor Republicans they con have no health insurance themselves.
