Typical broker's recommendations listing - Mark Ludlow From the CPQ Thread :)

A. Recommended list - this list is given out to only to the most influential clients ( accounts of 10 million or more ) In addition, you are given advanced notice when the analicrooks, ah, analysis's are going to change a recommendation so you can sell, short or go long ahead of the recommendation ( like the brokers do ) You will know the proper action because the actual announcement will say ( "Our recommended list" ).

The comments in parentheses are the actual thoughts
1. Extreme Buy - (sell your mama to buy)
2. Strong Buy - (sell the kids to buy)
3. Buy - (sell your wife to buy)
4. Hold - (this baby is falling but you are stuck, so hold it)
5. Sell - (this baby has no hope)

B. Regular Schmuck's list - this list is given to any warm body, except the most influential clients.

1. Really, really strong buy - ( sell every share, bad news is coming )
2. Really strong buy - ( we have been selling )
3. Strong Buy - ( we are shorting )
4. Buy ( time to take profits )
5. Hold ( accumulate )
6. Sell ( sell your mama to buy )

All of the above have these time periods : really short term, short term, intermediate term, long term, really long term, really-really long term, and your lifetime time.

Apologies to any brokers on the thread.

NOT.
