wiz, T@athm is holding strong but look at this news, maybe this will bring
it down some????? any opinion on Athm?

T to invests in ATHM is this good for T in a short term?
@HOME CORP (ATHM) 24 3/4 +1 3/16. Two days after the cable-modem company
announced that it expects to enter the black in
1999 (which left us here at Briefing shaking our heads in disbelief), there are reports that
the company could receive a major infusion of
cash and confidence. The Thursday edition of USA Today is reporting that @Home is
currently in talks with AT&T Corp (T).
According to the article, Ma Bell is ready to invest $1.25 billion in the fledgling Internet
start-up and @Home has already began
soliciting approval from its major backers. Tele-Communications Inc CEO John Malone
is said to have led the talks with AT&T. Although
Briefing has often been negative on ATHM (and we still find it hard to believe the
company will turn profitable as soon as 1999), there is
no denying the instant credibility and resources an AT&T relationship would provide. But
for now, the report is simply another rumor that
has allowed the stock to extend its recent run in price.
