<<Aereo case headed to the US Supreme Court....>>

Apologies for the double-posting, but the importance of this case can't be overstated.

I think that the broadcasters were foolish to petition this case to the US Supreme Court, as its strategy of district-by-district litigation was extremely effective at both draining Aereo's cash and slowing its expansion.

IMO Aereo has a better than 50/50 chance of winning this case, and a win would allow it to immediately expand nationwide with no further roadblocks.

An Aereo win represents the single-biggest threat to Netflix's business model to date. Both Netflix and Aereo charge $8/month to stream content to basically any internet-connected device. But whereas Netflix aggregates dated content (and pays $2 billion per year for it domestically), Aereo offers current broadcast television content as well as 20+ hours of customized cloud DVR content. As an example, if you're a fan of the TV show 'Modern Family', would you rather watch last season's episode on Netflix or last night's episode on Aereo?
