TM Anette,

Thanks for posting the item from AOL. I have the following comments regarding the private placement and the secondary. There was a Q&A Breakout session after Johnny Thomas made the presentation at the Dain Bosworth Conference. I asked Johnny what plans ABTX had in this area and he answered that because the stock is undervalued they would not do an equity issue, but rather issue or seek some form of senior debt. In addition, he said he would do a secondary at the $30 level, and would wait for stock to rise in value. Although late 1998 and $30 share price may coincide, he was most definite about not issuing stock while shares are undervalued. Perhaps a private placement debt issue, with warrants as a kicker is more likely. I would consider doing it, if available, and will certainly call and ask. I'd rather see debt issued than a dilutive stock offering.

Pete, are you out there? Do your notes jive with the above?

regards,
TM glen
