Appreciate your insight on the College Administrator "problem". The UNC system just eliminated a bunch of middle managers. However, until such time as the political will is there to deal with "adequate" funding for state public university systems we have to deal with the secondary problem of "cost shifting" by college administrators. This is starting to get more attention. No question the facts take place in political context, but first the facts have to be brought to light. Haven't seen the "shifting" problem mentioned anywhere else. Kudos to the WSJ for "exposing" what is going on in higher public eduction. Will lead to much debate on the issue IMHO--as it should.
