I'm seeing Europe first. For the buck, Europe has a lot more to see per square foot. At least that's the way I look at it. How much entertainment per square foot am I getting for my entertainment dollar? London has an excellent entertainment value per square foot, as do Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, Prague, Rome, Athens, Jerusalem, Washington DC, SF, Vancouver and New York. But once you get outside of the Mega entertaining envelope, you have to start driving, and (I would argue) that makes for a less entertaining, and event filled experience (unless you like wasting your time driving, which I do not.)

I have taken numerous trips, and been all over the world- would not go back to China, Taiwan, S. Korea,Thailand, the Middle East, or Turkey. And have zero interest in islands- like Hawaii, and Bora Bora. I'm totally interested in history, art and fine food and wine. Given those constraints, we're focusing on France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Holland, and Italy- and after satisfying our curiosity in those countries, plan to explore Scandinavia and go back to London. I'm sure there's lots to see in America, but it's mostly spread out, and most of what we have as "history" isn't very old. Give me an old Roman road and a castle any old day- preferably in the same block...

I merely express a preference. Other people obviously want different things.
