I was diabetic, but not now and as a result my doctor took me off all diabetic meds... I don't use sugar AND and I don't use any artificial sweeteners... I use agave, which is a natural honey like nectar extracted from the agave cactus which grows predominantly in Mexico, I use agave light which is found at WholeFoods... agave is lower down on the glycemic index than apples, this is because it takes the body a longer time to digest so it doesn't spike the blood sugar... my doctor recommended it and it works for me...

Agave is getting a bad rap on line because people are ignorant about its molecular structure and its effect on the human body, but I now make my own blueberry preserves and my own chocolate candy with agave, and I lost 80 pounds in the process...

The way I figure, if I can do it, then anyone can do it...
