I do not think the counterweights to gold price being where it should are invisible at all. There are scores of documented articles regarding the price manipulation of gold by the bullion banks using US fed money given to them through the guise of QE. Instead of putting that low cost money out there to stimulate the economy of the US they use the funds to trade in PMs and manipulate the price to support the US dollar. If the average US citizen knew the real story of their state of affairs they would all be trying to hoard away a little gold to protect them from this march into a depression and probably a default on their debt....
