Sorry, I forgot to post one CRITICAL fact...

If you check APM's SEC reports they EXPLICITLY state that nearly all of their efficiency gains came from higher production volumes. Using the margin number from last quarter is inappropriate.

Also, don't confuse process yield with profit. They are not the same. You can have a high yield and still not make a profit. Loss of volume is one way. Industrywide dumping, causing severe downward pricing pressures, is another The dumping is showing no signs of letting up. What IF it continues (gag!) for another year?

As for the rest of your comments, I do not necessarily disagree. However, I am not sure what the effect of the increasing popularity of sub $1000 PC's will be.

<< Crisman has said to two of us that yields are looking better over last quarter.>>

Careful. Don't believe everything you hear. It is all up to interpretation. I bet the this QNTM guy didn't expect the warning yesterday:
exchange2000.com

The same holds for most of the statements Crisman gave you. There is a reason that we all can interpret his responses in the way we want to "see them" They are all intentionally vague. He said nothing about the bottom line(earnings) and nothing about qual of future MR(If they have qual'd a 2.1 or higher, why not support the investors and announce it). This is going to be a tough few Qs in the DD sector(maybe longer) It's not a good time to be going through such a tough transition. And it will be tough. Look back at the Crisman "talks" of the past, just back in Sep he was saying "TFI yields are MUCH higher than MR yields. MR rev will not exceed TFI for quite some time"
