This sounds like a sarcastic comment along the lines of "What? Does the market think people are gonna stop needing hard drives this year?"

I slap my self on the fore head when I read people say that. Demand is not the problem here. Supply is the problem. Demand can go ahead and double every 18 months, but as long as the supply is to great the DDs will be in the dumps. There is no law of economics that says commodity producers will be very profitable, even if they do have a very popular commodity.
