Koan,
YOu are the one who touts corporate control.
You are suffering from typical black-n-white thinking that comes from demagoguery.

I never touted corporate control. That's just you repeating the same myth over and over again because you have nothing else to justify more government control.

If you want to argue against "corporate control," you would argue against bailouts of big corporations like Goldman Sucks, Government Motors, and the big banks via quantitative easing. All of which the current Powers That Be not only advocated, but bragged about as they pat themselves on the back for "preventing a crisis from turning into a catastrophe."

Because the only ones benefitting from "too big to fail" are those in the Obama administration.

And what I keep trying to explain to you is the best way the human species has ever found to get that freedom is through democracy. Control of society by the people and for the people.
What you mean is you want all the benefits to accrue to your gang and after the Koch brothers are broke via legislation you will jack up taxes for everyone. You are not entitled by the constitution to be bailed out of your gambling debts or bad penny stock picks but you do have the freedom to make intelligent choices such as not using drugs. You should get down on your knees and thank God you were blessed to live in a country where you can make your own mistakes.

CONSTITUTION

Today, when a concerted effort is made to obliterate this point, it cannot be repeated too often that the Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals—that it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government—that it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizens’ protection against the government.

DEMOCRACY

The American system is not a democracy. It is a constitutional republic. A democracy, if you attach meaning to terms, is a system of unlimited majority rule . . . a form of collectivism, which denies individual rights . . . . The American system is a constitutionally limited republic, restricted to the protection of individual rights. In such a system, majority rule is applicable only to lesser details, such as the selection of certain personnel. But the majority has no say over the basic principles governing the government. It has no power to ask for or gain the infringement of individual rights.
