Yeah, I've seen several. The most impressive to me was a aeroponic setup in a closet ( in Telluride, CO!), where exposed roots were periodically sprayed with nutrient solution, and the lights weren't just over the plants, they surrounded the plants. This guy even had the closet sealed and added nitrogen gas.

I want to reset my system in I had in my CA shed. I replaced the roof with greenhouse fiberglass panels, covered the walls with reflective plastic (the sun for light), and built an automatic watering system with parts from Home Depot. I set up some wireless video so I could look at them without going into the shed. Grew them in 5 gallon buckets of my special dirt mix. I just had to go in about once a month to refill the nutrient supply tank.

Worked like magic for six years!
