<<I plan to do all the tests you suggested, plus some long formats of each type of disk. Perhaps I'll test
the Nomai disks both before and after doing long formats. I already know the drives can format Zip
disks.

As for risking my Zip drives, I'm sure if I damage them you'll all take up a collection for me. Won't
you? ;-)>>

Why bother??? Of course they are going to work! Maybe even better than the orignals...and wouldn't that put everyone here in a state of depression? Nomai isn't going to send you disks that don't work...do you think?
Folks, stay focused on the issue here,Patent Infringement! As far as the stock goes, some can watch it and some can't. If I purchased calls, I would be going a little nuts. That's why I don't. I sell them instead. My speculation is confined to buying long which I did last week at an average of 32. Thought I would scalp a few points right away. Now I will have to wait a little longer.

Allen, "As for risking my Zip drives, I'm sure if I damage them you'll all take up a collection for me. Won't you? ;-)"

You betcha, what with all the help you have given all of us. As soon as I can figure out how to get my 3« floppy drive to read in a $5 bill, I'll send it over (the drive's not good for anything else anymore, anyway), even if the Zips don't break.

BTW, anyone see the news from yesterday that some scientists in Australia were able to teleport ("beam") a cluster of photons from one place to another without them being anywhere in between? Scotty, get down here and help them tweak that thing.

Allen, do you have a notebook Zip to test with the Nomai disks? I think this would be the most interesting test as it is the newest Zip model.
