Heat= $, (economics 201) so for cheapness let it operate at ambient. If you concentrate it first you can afford heated retorts for accelerating the oxidative reaction, as Barrick does in the USA. However we will use ambient here, as I hear there is not enough sulfide to hinder the reaction. In fact there is so much silver that the grains will fragment readily as they get the silver eaten away exposing more gold to be leached, for a fast leach. The reaction will be faster in the summer, and you will lose more water as vapor, which will be trucked in?? or are there wells nearby for pipelines?? All part of the feasa. It can be muffled by tarps to keep heat in in the winter, so they will be able to operate efficiently year round.
they might use a valley leach pad situation, where the walls of the valley act as side shields, and the natural slope of the valley will be used to form a long inverted cone pad, with the walls water proofed with membranes, and the drainage pipes at the bottom. This can be very good in a dry cold area. A heap leach valley based is a long termer as you never stop getting gold out, you keep adding more rock and going up valley, and as long as the drains work and there is gold it is a cash cow. Standard pads are heaped, leached for a year or so(until low return rates set it) and then removed and new stuff added. There are often as many as a dozen(or more) in various states of operation at any one time. Some being built, some being leached, some bacterially oxidised, and some being emptied.
