Good post. the standard of living in the US will drop steadily until it meets some equilibrium with developing Asia's. All of the details are symptomatic of this one fact. Where a task can be performed or a good can be made cheaper and more efficiently, it will be.

US has to improve it's game. Remember Grace's post about the US not having the folk educated enough to fill vacancies requiring skills?
