The reason that they had to do those things was precisely because NC is turning purple. And a backlash has against what they have done has begun. Will it be enough to swing elections in Nov and reelect Kay Hagan? That isn't clear. But NC is definitely trending purple anyway, and, since the red folks are mostly much older than the blue folks, it will continue to get bluer and bluer as time goes by.

As I've said previously the red chickens will come home to roost on this as it has fired up the electorate that opposes such actions.

We are purple. Something like 52% for Obama in 2008, and 48% in 2012. We're a swing state. Our Senators are one of each party. Congressional districts got redrawn after pubs took over state government in 2012 so we're like 9/4 there in favor of pubs.

Nah. It will just take the 2020 census and redistricting/gerrymandering once again.
