The consenus at the last Fed meeting was they would have raised interest rates if the Asain Flu had not gotten started. I can only base my view that the Fed will raise interest rates early next year on my reading and viewing articles, TV etc. I was caught in the market one time during rate hikes and I can tell you the Market is not the place to be during rate hikes. Perhaps the economic data will be favorable and this will not occur soon, perhaps not. The QNTM debacle today will only put more downward pressure on all tech stocks. One obvious time to buy CPQ was last spring and enjoy the ride then sell in the fall. Now it is too risky, short term, to play around with it. As for long term, it still looks good, but who knows?
