>>Syquest is betting on consumer savvy. Iomega is apparently hoping for wool.<<

Allen, I wonder about this thread. On almost every other thread I've visited in SI, the longs analyze the company, discuss revenue and earnings estimates, have spirited discussions among themselves about fundamentals, and constantly do their own reality checks. Not here. Most longs here pretty much confine themselves to gushing about SYQT and carping at IOM and IOM longs who dare to show up here, even ones who courteously post good information. Underdog stocks have two main kind of posters, the hopeful and the spiteful. It's too bad this thread has more than its fair share of the latter.

All: The best of this thread is consistantly brought to you by Allen, Michael C. and Dale S. Hear them.

Allen,

I too own a Zip. I bought it for $199 when they first came out, but I wouldn't replace it today even at $99. I see the Zip at the same place the 360k floppy was about 8 years ago. Zip Plus should have increased the capacity, but they didn't and IMO it's a big mistake.

In my business if the competition is offering a whirlpool tub in your price range you better do more than just throw Alka-zeltzer tablets in your tub.
