Hmmm... that reminds me I have a bit of gold in my teeth. I suppose I should account for it in my will, just in case the wildest dreams of the gold bugs come true.

Gold may be finite on Earth but once those asteroid diggers start offworld mining operations in 2050-2055, the price of gold will plunge because DeBeers isn't on the gold job.

Once Peak Gold has been reached, which will happen when a good quality digital currency [mine] has taken over savings and payments processes, then gold will go into terminal decline.
