I don't know about Asia in general, but the Oracle debacle could affect them very positively to the extent it gives them an opening to sell their database products to Oracle customers.

And, make no mistake, Microsoft *is* after the database market.

What is so shocking about Oracle is that all theoir competitors are on their backs, yet Oracle was only able to get what meager growth it did.
