Arnaud Amaury wasn't a pope but a Catholic Abbot who participated in the Albigensian Crusade, which is a euphemism for Christian mass slaughter of other Albigensian & Cathar Christians of Southern France by order of the Pope, carried out by his Inquisitors. Their esssential crime or disagreement with the monkeys over in the Vatican ran much along the same lines as Thomas Jefferson's findings of incomprehensible nonsense about the trinity and such foolish irrationality (semi-insane?) rituals of drinking the blood and eating the body of "the christ". Which is a ritual so bizaar one only see's natural forces so primitive & desperately expressed , shows human species still in the infancy of their fear laden chaotic imaginations. The Cathars & Abigensians were also against war & capital punishment, very religous & austere, quite peaceful with little vices, so obviously they needed to be wiped out to the last man woman & child by the Roman Inquisiton. From humans long ago in prehistoric caves, decorating walls with pictures of animals, to the gold & marble gilded walls & floors of St Peters in Rome,almost nothing has really changed,in fact the cave man was in a simpler way probably slightly more civilized & more humanist. (slightly teasing, slightly serious)
